The Gibbon model is a performance hull designed for speed and flow. We increased the entry rocker, added a bit of tail kick and pulled in the nose and tail outline. The Gibbon is designed for rail to rail surfing in waist to overhead surf. The bottom has a slight vee transitioning to a single then a deep double concave out the back. This shape is set up with Futures quad fins. The Gibbon is one of our most versatile boards. If you want to increase your wave counts and still rip full rail turn, the Gibbon is for you.
The Gibbon should be ridden 6 to 8 inches shorter than your standard short board.
All Locus boards are 100% hand shaped, glassed and finished by Tyler Hopkins in Santa Cruz, California, Using Marko Envirofoam blanks and glassed with Entropy bio-based epoxy resin.
